Ok... so today was the big day, today marked the day of my new "hair birthday!" I went to the barber shop to receive my big chop and it was an experience! I feel so liberated now that it is started. I wanted this for so long and now that it is complete, I am sooo excited! I was very nervous throughout the whole day, but was ready and anxious for the new change. Once my hair was cut, I was frightened to see my hair, but once I got the courage to look I was very pleased with the results! It looks so good, and I fell in love with it all over again once I got home, washed and doctored it up. The only thing that is somewhat bothersome is that I don’t think my hair was cut as low as I would like, as I still have some straight pieces in my hair. I am very intrigued about what people will think and say tomorrow at work. I am also interested to see how the people that are closet to me respond to the “new me.” What are people going to think, what are people going to say?? Do I care, not really, but a little piece of me does.
Well that is my feelings on my big chop, we shall see what tomorrow will bring. Right now, I am happy with the choice that I have made, and I do not regret it one bit. It was the best thing for me to do. This is the start to endless opportunities for me and my hair, so sit back and enjoy the ride…
